Immigration to U.S.A. Further delays implementing Executive action

Once again everything related to the Executive action and President Obama’s immigration reform has been delayed. Millions of undocumented immigrants will continue to live with fear and insecurity until 2016 before any changes can be implemented regarding immigration reform legislation.

The President’s Executive order, which infuriated many Republicans, would have meant that 5 million undocumented immigrants would receive a work permit that could be renewed after 3 years and would have temporarily halted the number of alien removals.

President Obama will face an uphill battle make the case for moving legislation on immigration through a GOP House and Senate and if not successful, legislative reform will not be passed until 2016.

The undocumented aliens affected by the delay in immigration reform will probably now have to wait until after the 2016 elections and a new President. Whoever wins the presidency in the next election will have to deal directly with the future of approximately 5 million undocumented immigrants who are living and working in the United States.
