If you delay requesting your DACA renewal or if the forms are filled out incorrectly or without the attached fees, you can risk letting the work permit expire.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA have published some guidelines to follow that will prevent your permit from expiring before USCIS can finish processing your requests for renewal.

Submit your renewal on time: This should be submitted between 120 and 150 days before the expiration date that appears on your current form.

USCIS will reject your request if not complete, so make sure that you send all the required forms together with the fees. In order to avoid further processing delays make sure that you submit any information regarding removal proceedings or criminal history that you have not previously submitted to USCIS. If you have changed your legal name, this must also be informed. If you have travelled outside the U.S. since your last filing for DACA you must provide proof of your advance parole.

It is important that you respond to any request for evidence sent by USCIS within the time frame given and in a timely manner.

A list of the forms to request DACA consideration for employment Authorization Documents and the corresponding fees can be found on the website at uscis.gov.
