Opening of the new registration period for the Diversity Visa Program, known as “visa lottery” starts next October 1 for fiscal year 2016.

50,000 visas of different concepts will be awarded randomly among applicants who meet the conditions set forth by the government, which makes them eligible to enter the country.  Every year the deadline for submitting documents electronically is a one month period only and eligible aliens who qualify according to the standards set, such as type of education, work experience, and country of origin among others.

An applicant who fulfills all these requirements, enters the lottery to obtain permanent residence in the United States of America.

It is important to consider a few more facts and to submit documents as soon as possible.  Demand is so high  that the computer network often collapses. There are countries that do not qualify and those who qualify are the countries that have the least amount of emigrants to USA.
