Applications are now being accepted for this program until the deadline of May 15, 2015. This grant opportunity promotes the number of citizenship preparation services which will be available throughout the country. Those organizations approved to receive this grant will offer both high quality instruction and naturalization services to permanent residents.

Applications will be accepted online at www.grants.gov. It is recommended that all applicants visit the website before the application deadline on May 15, in order to become familiarized with the information needed to complete the application. USCIS plans to announce the 40 awarded recipients sometime in September of this year.

Since this program started in 2009, USCIS has awarded approximately $43 million through 222 grants to organizations.
