Immigrant minors anxiously await hearings in US courts

Immigrant children are waiting anxiously until the decisive day that will have their final hearing before an immigration judge, who will decide whether or not they are to be deported.

According to the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), there is very little hope for these minors. The data provided is shocking; up until February 23rd of this year 10,639 unaccompanied minors had received deportation orders.

If these children are removed back to their native countries they will be exposed to all types of danger and the possibility of death. Living in the U.S. they have the opportunity to receive an education which could prepare them to become valuable members of the society, as professionals and tax payers.
