The EB-5 Visa is directed towards the larger investor. There are some special requirements and the original investment must be over $500,000.00. USCIS is approving 10,000 of this type of visa per year, of which 3000 are intended for those who make the request in accordance with a pilot program designated by USCIS.

The procedure for obtaining these visas is not so difficult as long as you can prove to Immigration that this new business will create new jobs and will be beneficial for the community. Permanent residency can be obtained for the business owner, his/her spouse and unmarried children and after 5 years they can apply for citizenship.
